I was in town for a short visit and decided to stay in a budget room. The location was super convenient, just a quick walk to places like the Castro Fortress and the Contemporary Museum of Art. Things I enjoyed included the friendly atmosphere in the lobby and the effective blackout blinds in the room, which made for a good night’s sleep despite some minor noise from the elevator. It was a decent stay overall.

Hotel Junquera offered a great central location just a three-minute walk from local restaurants and bars. The bed in my room was comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. There were effective blackout blinds, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. However, the bathroom felt a bit cramped, and during my visit, the bath was surprisingly small. The pool area, while nice, didn't heat up enough to be truly enjoyable. The staff was friendly and offered a warm welcome, but there were a few issues, like the ineffective automatic corridor lights that clicked disturbingly throughout the night. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it did detract from an otherwise agreeable stay.

Comfortable bed ensured restful sleep.
My stay was marred by poor communication from the staff, who seemed rushed and unhelpful, particularly during check-in. Additionally, the bathroom in my room was cramped and lacked sufficient amenities, leaving me frustrated rather than relaxed. On top of that, the automatic corridor lights malfunctioned, clicking incessantly throughout the night, which made an already unfortunate experience even worse.

Cozy vibes and friendly staff
Had a solid time here. The staff were super helpful, always with a smile. The breakfast spread was awesome with some tasty gluten-free options. The pool was nice but could’ve been a bit warmer. The room was modern but on the smaller side, which made it feel a tad cramped sometimes.

This was a good match for a short-term stay in Vigo—great value for the price. I appreciated that my room was clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfy. Just remember to bring your own towels if you plan to use the pool area, as they might not have enough available.

pleasant stay with minor room issues
The staff provided a warm welcome and communicated effectively in English. I appreciated the practical blackout blinds that ensured I had a peaceful night's sleep. The room was not only clean but also stylish, making it a comfortable retreat.
However, the shower pressure could have been better, which detracted from the overall experience.

The breakfast had all the essentials and guess what? They even had gluten-free cookies which I didn't expect. Always cheerful and friendly, helped me, showing that they really care.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but it was still acceptable for what I got.

junquera is a cozy 3-star hotel with a friendly vibe. it’s just a short walk to the main train stations and only about a 10-15 minute stroll to the historic area and port. the breakfast spread was delightful, featuring gluten-free cookies. the room was spacious, and the small swimming pool was a nice touch, too.
i'd recommend improving the noise insulation in the rooms.
